Book reading usually isn’t seen as a social activity. You read on your own, in the peace and quit of your own home or place of tranquility.
For some, the extra noise when reading around people can be distracting. It can hinder your performance and ability to capture information when your not in your optimal reading settings.
But this isn’t why you join a book club. Although you can join a book club to read aloud and together, one of the greatest benefits of joining one is meet new people and allowing them to extract information in book you wouldn’t have read other wise for you to be able to understand.
